Impact Crusher

Secondary shredder with high efficiency

Impact Crusher consists of a rotor that has 2 to 6 blades (hammers) and rotates at high speed. The role of the blades is to throw the incoming feed pieces toward the inner wall of the crusher (anvil). On the inner wall of the device, several shields (grooved plates made of hard material) are also installed. The incoming feed pieces are crushed upon impact with these shields. The speed of the blades is 15 to 50 meters per second, and the speed of the incoming feed pieces when they hit the shields reaches about 1.6 times the speed of the blades.

The crushing ratio of impact crushers in a closed circuit reaches about 10 to 30, and they can be used as a suitable means for crushing materials to dimensions smaller than 15 millimeters. The amount of fines produced in this type of crusher is usually high, but for heterogeneous materials such as most common ores, it generally has a selective effect on the constituent minerals. This type of crusher is not suitable for crushing materials with high hardness and abrasiveness and is usually used in crushing ores with a silica content below 5 percent.
