Shaking Table
Precise gravitational separation of precious and heavy minerals
Performance and Structure
The shaking table is one of the key pieces of equipment in gravity separation processes, which uses water flow and precise shaking motion to accomplish the washing and separation of heavy materials from light ones. This device is designed for processing and upgrading a wide range of minerals.
Shaking tables are made in three types: single, double, and triple deck, with the additional decks mainly used to increase capacity or to simultaneously recover several minerals. The table surface is made of wear-resistant fiberglass (FRP), and usually three products—concentrate, middlings, and tailings—are obtained from it.
Main applications
- Processing and concentrating precious minerals such as gold, silver, and platinum.
- Concentration of heavy minerals such as tungsten, barite, chromite, and manganese.
- Separation of metallic minerals such as iron ore (hematite), lead, zinc, and mercury.
- The capacity of the machine varies between 500 and 1500 kilograms per hour.
